Get to Know Me

Hi my name is Tracey, I am a City and Guilds fully qualified dog groomer with several years experience including working with anxious and aggressive dogs. After completing my canine communication diploma and being aware that so many people avoid the groomers because they have a reactive dog I decided to work with the most re-active dogs to find a way of de-sensitising their reaction to being groomed I find that a lot of the behaviour shown is just fear and taking the extra time to walk them through it at their pace allows them to get used to the process of being groomed alleviating the fear and there-fore removing the need to react  

I offer a 1-2-1 service allowing cage free grooming the dogs have a secure waiting area where there are beds toys and water. 

I believe grooming should be stress free and even an enjoyable experience so I strive to put the animals needs above all else and follow the 5 freedoms rule at all times, 

But it's not all about the dogs I also groom cats, rabbits and even a ferret once there isn't a lot I'll so no to as grooming isn't just about looking adorable it's about having a healthy coat getting those nails off the floor so that the animal is comfortable removing matts so they are pain and irritation free and so that any ill health indictor can be spotted as soon as possible. I love my job and it brins me so much joy to be around all of these animals so the least I can do is return the favour so they can enjoy being here too.
